The Madison County Commissioners established the Planning Board whose responsibilities include conducting public hearings to deal with zoning change requests and to make recommendations concerning changes and/or revisions with the ordinance to the Commissioners.

In addition to hearing zoning change requests and recommending revisions and changes, the Planning Board monitors growth and development in county. They consider how such pressures will impact and affect the citizens of Madison County.

2008 Planning Board Meeting Schedule
The Planning Board shall meet on the 3rd Tuesday of each month. Meetings are in the County Courthouse in Marshall at 7:00 PM unless otherwise noted and published. Meetings are subject to change if scheduling problems occur.

Applications need to be filed at the Madison County Inspections office at least one month in advance of the meeting.
