The Madison County Board
of Elections conducts Federal, State, County and
Municipal elections. This department has the overall responsibility
for administration of voter registration, the
electoral process, and campaign finance disclosure
in Madison County.
The Board of
Elections operates as a three member board appointed
every two years by the State Board of
Elections. Laura Smith is the Director of the Madison County
Board of Elections; Shirley Ponder serves as
Deputy Director.
